Select Updates

Step 2 in Task Wizard

This step prompts for target updates to scan or deploy.

Select the patches you wish to deploy using either Predefined Patch Queries, Custom Patch Queries, Patch Group, Specific Patches, or All Patches > Click 'Next'.

The default selection will be a pre-packaged 'Patch Query' titled 'Critical Patches'. However, 'Custom Patch Queries', 'Patch Groups', or 'Specific Patches' can easily be targeted.

Important Information

For Patch Scan Task: It's always recommended to scan for 'All Patches', rather than leave detection gaps.
For Patch Scan and Deploy Task: Use caution when choosing 'All Patches' since all patches available in the console will be targeted to run for every device selected. The industry strongly recommends performing a phased approach by focusing first on severity updates, such as Critical/High/Medium/Low rating, then deploying optional, hotfix, and 3rd party updates.
