Remote Registry
• 1 min to read •
Remote Registry stores data about actions completed by Windows OS which serves as a basis for the Event Log creation. When you reinstall software packages, you may want to use a remote registry to check if all the components from the previous package are removed.
If you want to review registry settings on a device without using a WMI query, you can traverse an endpoint’s registry tree using our Remote Registry viewer. This viewer simply allows you to traverse. There is currently no support for remote registry editing. To review the contents of a registry key, simple traverse to the location, and then select the key name. The registry key’s attributes and values will then be displayed in the central table.
Important Information This option is only available for Windows operating systems. It is recommended not to use the Remote Registry option unless you are a Remote Registry expert, as it is very easy to break some components of the Windows OS without a possibility to restore them. |
