Reboot UI Config

When creating tasks within the console, several options are available with regard to rebooting devices.

Important Information

Syxsense Manage offers default 'Reboot UI' options within the Settings area.

These settings will auto-populate any task where a reboot is forced. 

On a task level, the 'Reboot UI' settings can be changed to deviate from the default settings.

Prerequisites 

A Syxsense Manage account that has 'Admin' permissions.

Click on 'Settings' in the top right corner of the screen ①

Click 'Reboot UI Config' to view or make changes to the default settings ②Drop-down TitleDrop-down Title

You can then carry out the following:

  • Overwrite the existing 'Custom Reboot Message' with your own message ①
  • Enter the URL to the stored location of your company logo, the logo will then appear as part of the UI message. The logo must be of the size indicated ②
  • Set the initial shutdown timer ③ This timer will start to count down as soon as the message is displayed on a device, if no action is taken by the logged-on user the device will reboot at the end of the time period.
  • Allow or deny the logged-on user the option to cancel the reboot ④

 Note, that this option does not postpone the reboot, no further reboot messages will appear for the task if the logged-on user clicks on 'Cancel'.

  • Allow or deny the logged-on user the ability to snooze (postpone) the reboot ⑤ In the example shown a logged-on user can snooze the reboot 4 times, there is a 10-minute delay before the reboot UI will reappear on the screen.

 Note that each time the reboot is snoozed the initial countdown timer is reset.

  • The 'Snooze Timer' ⑥ frequency or how often the 'Snooze' option appears.
  • The 'Snooze Count' ⑦ or how many times the end-user can click 'Snooze'.Drop-down TitleDrop-down Title
Click on 'Save' to save any changes that you have made.
