Audit Log

Audit log settings are for tracking and managing user and system activity across the platform. They provide administrators with visibility into actions such as logins, policy changes, deployments, and configuration updates.

Click on 'Settings' in bottom-left corner of the main menu > 'Advanced' > the 'Audit Log' drop-down will be displayed on the left pane.

Important Information

The settings here can have impacts throughout the solution and therefore changes should be planned thoroughly, as some cannot be undone once applied.

Discovery: Audit Log Settings

Audit Config

The Audit Config section allows administrators to control how audit logs are retained and managed. It is primarily used to define the duration that audit records should be kept on the system, which is important for meeting internal policies or compliance requirements. In cases where old or unnecessary logs need to be purged, this section also provides the option to delete all existing log files. Additionally, it enables configuration of email recipients who should receive audit reports, allowing for proactive monitoring of platform activity.

Click on 'Audit Config' under 'Audit Log' settings to manage the audit configuration

You can carry out the following:

  • Configure the length of time that log files are stored for
  • Delete all audit log files
  • Manage the email addresses that the logs can be sent to

Click on 'Save' to save any changes that you have made

All Data

This is where the actual audit logs are accessed and reviewed. It offers an interactive view of every recorded event within the system. Users can refine their view using the dropdown menu to filter events by type, such as login attempts or configuration changes, helping narrow down specific activity. Each log entry can be expanded for detailed information using the arrow button next to the record.

Click on 'All Data' under 'Audit Log'  settings to view the audit logs.

Use the arrow function to expand the options available:

  • The logs can be filtered to a 'type' of the event using the drop-down menu
  • The date range can be modified
  • The search option allows you to search the logs for a specific keyword
Time Zone

The Time Zone setting controls how timestamps are displayed within the audit logs and across other scheduled operations in the platform. This is especially important in global or multi-regional environments where administrators need consistency in event tracking.

By setting the default time zone here, users ensure that all audit entries reflect the correct local or organizational standard. Once the preferred time zone is selected, clicking Save applies it system-wide.

External Authentication This area of the console allows you to leverage any external identity provider for Single Sign-On (SSO).
